Education Issues and The Politics of Standardized Testing Considered
Not long ago there was an interesting piece in Newsweek about the reality of the American educational system with the rest of the world. The article was written by Robert Samuelson, and he touched some very interesting points. That is, if we test the ESL test results and low values of African American and Hispanic test results at U.S. fight against all Europe, Canada, to separate, etc., are actually the same or better. And if we take the Asian American students and stand up against China, Japan, South Korea, etc., directly in the same order of magnitude.
Now you can follow my comments, I hope you read this article in Newsweek, “a different view of education dilemma” by Robert Samuelson. Then back to my article here and we have a frank and honest discussion, without political correctness does not; Deal? And while you’re there, please also read the article: “Why Chinese mothers are superior” by Amy Chua in the Wall Street Journal January 8 to 9, 2011.
Well, then, Robert Samuelson things said are not politically correct, and is sure to make a stir, but of course he’s right, we know he’s right – that is to be observed. It may not be observed on an individual basis, but percentage wise, it certainly has a perfect sense. However, I have some points of contention. That should say, I do not feel the United States to be something, but number 1 in everything!
So even if we are all the ESL kids and black kids poll, separate our non-Anglo or Hispanic are not number one according to his article and the reference data and they should be! But in relation to the investigations mentioned – I do not trust any poll conducted by CODE, or Belgium or Paris, I do not trust these polls.
Why do you ask, well I’m of the opinion that the French do not even earn their own bike race, and try to assets, to sell the military strength of NATO to Russia – so I am not sure if I believe or even really what they say. I often feel as if they had said, what is put before the United States and on podiums and pedestals.
Now I hate the “No Child Left Behind,” a look at a concept for “No Child Allowed in advance” in relation to the children who for whatever reason, whether gene expression is characterized excel, positive role models of the family or their will ever be any child at different times in their physiological and mental development in various areas of mathematics, abstract thinking, reading and creativity -. When they are ready to start and draw on, they leave to conquer this niche, to speak and move how they help them to be able to find their niche and be successful.
In fact, these abilities in all other areas of their development will be transferred. Success skills are similar in all spheres of human activity, they will discourage pure evil, is like putting a child in a room with nothing but blank walls.
Let’s talk about this WSJ article about Chinese mothers, I believe it is right, and Asian families push their children hard, not only in the top of the class, but the best in each category are. It seems “too American” in thought, why parents are not white, Anglo do the same, or black or Hispanic parents? You see, there is nothing wrong with being number one.
In fact, I was a professor of North Las Vegas, many years ago, and it was new, loved his job and went to the home of each student to meet the parents and could not say where children would Excel and the problems would lie about reading on the number of books and journals and the number of bookshelves in the house.
She’s right, the “real world” also, and perhaps because I am not surprised by something in the Newsweek article. The only question is what you do about it? It seems that the policy behind the university are often in denial and political correctness, law enforcement, politicians, parents and all unions are the requirements that simple, unfortunately, to productive solutions. Please note all of this.
